Since the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday night, we have been seeking clarification as to whether schools with nurseries open for all children or just to children of critical workers and those who are vulnerable.

There is still no information from the Department for Education or the Local Authority, however my Headteacher union has managed to ascertain that, in this context, school-based nurseries count as early years settings, and Reception classes count as primary settings.

Therefore, whilst Reception children will be limited to critical worker children and those who are vulnerable, school will be open to all Nursery children for the sessions they have booked to attend from Monday 11th January 2021.

The children will be socially distanced from the staff as much as possible and also from each other in order to mitigate the potential spread of the virus in school and extended community.

Please can parents confirm by email to Mrs. Childs (childs.h1@welearn365.com) by Friday at midday if they will be attending these sessions or not attending at all.
