Eco School Green Flag with distinction 2026

Brailes School is proud to have been awarded an Eco-Schools Green Flag Award with Distinction 2026. This award recognises Brailes’ whole-school culture where sustainability is embedded across our campus, curriculum and community. Driven by strong pupil leadership and collective commitment, Brailes School continues to focus on taking responsibility for environmental action. We are particularly proud of last year’s Year 6 Eco leaders' lasting legacy which is empowering younger pupils to continue their work with the same enthusiasm and commitment this year at Brailes.

Throughout  this summer’s high temperatures, thanks to the care and commitment of pupils and Mr Morris, Brailes school caretaker, it has been a wonderful first growing season in the new school garden. Our Green Flag Award also recognises the success of being able to Integrate school  building projects with Eco-Schools and our OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) developments which has enabled the school to create rich outdoor learning environments while promoting reuse, recycling and resourcefulness to create a truly wonderful place to be, learn, grow and shine
