Prayers written and read by Year 6 in the Leavers's Service  - Summer 2026

 

Dear God,

Thank you for helping us through our time at primary school. Thank you for our teachers, our families, our friends, and everyone who has helped us learn, grow, and become the people we are today.

As we move on to secondary school, give us courage when we feel nervous, confidence to try new things, and kindness to make new friends. Help us to always do our best, make good choices, and remember the happy memories we have made here.

May we continue to learn, care for others, and shine wherever we go.

Amen.

 

Loving God,

Today we say goodbye to our primary school, but we also look forward to new adventures. Help us to face the future with hope, excitement, and trust.

Guide us when we have difficult decisions to make. Help us to be respectful, honest, and kind to everyone we meet. Remind us that we are never alone, because you are always with us wherever life takes us.

Bless our school, our teachers, our families, and all of the Year 6 children as we begin this new chapter. May we always remember the lessons we have learned and use our gifts to make the world a better place.
